The weather in the desert can be cold during winter, so make sure to bring a warm jacket. In contrast, summer months can be very hot, so please be prepared for high temperatures. The departure time mentioned may also vary depending on the season. If you arrive in Merzouga late due to certain conditions, we will transfer you by jeep directly to the camp, and you can begin the camel trip the following day.
The 2-night camel ride in Merzouga begins from our riad. Upon arrival, you’ll have some time to rest and pack your necessities before starting the adventure with our expert camel guide. You’ll ride through the dunes, stopping midway to watch the sunset or try sandboarding. Afterward, we continue to the camp, where you’ll be welcomed with refreshing mint tea. Following dinner, you’ll enjoy traditional Berber music around the campfire with the locals, then spend the night under the stars.
On the second day, after a shower and breakfast, we’ll begin a camel ride and continue deeper into the Sahara. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to try sandboarding or visit a nomadic family. After enjoying a delicious picnic lunch, we’ll return to the camp to relax and rest.After enjoying a beautiful sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes, you will have time for a shower and breakfast. Then, we will end our 2-night camel ride in Merzouga village. You will also have the option to return either by camel or by jeep.
