Your day trip from Fes to Chefchaouen begins early in the morning, around 8:30 AM, when your driver picks you up from your riad. As you leave Fes behind, you’ll enjoy the drive across the Rif Mountains, passing rolling hills, olive groves, and small villages, with the option to pause for a coffee or tea along the way. By late morning, around 11:30 AM, you arrive in the enchanting blue-washed town of Chefchaouen, where your exploration of the medina begins. You can wander through its narrow alleys, visit the central Plaza Uta El-Hammam, admire the Grand Mosque from outside, and step inside the Kasbah Museum with its Andalusian gardens.
In the afternoon time, you’ll have time to savor a traditional Moroccan lunch at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the blue streets. Afterwards, you may continue discovering hidden corners of the medina, shop for unique handicrafts, or take a short hike up to the Spanish Mosque for panoramic views over the “Blue Pearl.” Later in the afternoon, around 4:00 PM, you depart Chefchaouen and enjoy another picturesque drive back through the Rif Mountains, arriving in Fes by 8:30 and drop you off at your hotel or riad.
