Weather in the Sahara can vary, from warm days to cold nights, so we recommend bringing suitable clothing and checking the current forecast in Morocco before your trip. At times it may be windy, and in such cases we can transfer you directly to the camp by jeep. You’ll also have the option to enjoy a sunrise camel trek. Above all, your safety is our top priority.
You’ll arrive at our guest house, where you’ll be welcomed with a cup of tea. After packing your necessities, you’ll begin your camel trek excursion to the camp, which takes about an hour. On the way, we’ll stop in the middle of the Sahara to watch a beautiful sunset and try sandboarding. After sunset, you’ll reach the camp, where you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and conversations with locals about desert life. Finally, spend a peaceful night under the stars.
Early in the morning, you’ll have the chance to watch a magical sunrise over the golden dunes. If you’d like, you can also take your sandboard again to the nearby dunes to practice sandboarding. After that, you’ll enjoy a refreshing shower and breakfast before we transfer you back to the village where you left your car. This marks the end of our overnight Merzouga camel trek.
